MONTRÉAL, Qc – APRIL 27, 2017 – Miralupa announced today that its Thrubox™ augmented reality (AR) platform is driving a new interactive experience at Colette in Paris, France.
Developed by Montreal and Quebec City based Miralupa, Thrubox is an AR application and publishing platform available for smartphones and tablets that encourages consumers to interact with products found within the legendary Parisian store’s collections in an engaging and entertaining way.
“It’s exciting for us to be able to offer such a unique experience to consumers,” said Carole Sabas, Curator. “Thrubox is a wonderful platform which allows us to push the limits of creativity in fashion retail.”
“For the Colette window, Miralupa has customized a special experience : four fashion items have been picked from the store, and photographed in order to serve as the main characters of an AR fantasy” notes Sabas. “Sold on the 2nd floor of the store, these accessories (shoes, bag, jewelry, and hat) a rebrought to life, virtually, at the street level. Us ing the irregular iPhone with the Thrubox app, passers by were able to witness an exclusive animated show with these fashion accessories”.
Thrubox™ allows users to see and interact with digital creations in the real world, and in real time 3D spa ce when viewed through a device like a smart phone, tablet, or smart glasses creating a unique interactive experience which engages audiences with measurable, trackable results.
About Carole Sabas
Carole Sabas graduated from La Sorbonne in Paris (MAs in His tory of Art and Philosophy of Art). She started writing about fashion in the late 90s for the trade newspaper “Journal du Textile”, Elle and L’Officiel. She became editor in chief of the Vogue Paris website in 2006 before moving to the US in 2008, as the New York correspondent for Vogue
